3.Remember to pay attention to the minimum required number of words. If you write less than 150 words for ielts writing task 1 and less than 250 words for ielts writing task 2, you will lose points.

4.Your answer should be presented in the form of an article, not as notes or bullet points. You must organize the ideas into paragraphs to show the examiner that you are able to organize the main ideas and supporting ideas.

5.To do well on the Writing test, you don’t have to write long sentences. If the sentences are too long, they will become less coherent and it will be difficult to check the grammar.

6.In Part 1 you must select and compare the required information from the chart. Do not copy the text from the question when you answer it. Use your vocabulary. Do not attempt to explain or attempt to clarify why the information in the chart has changed.

7.Part 2 will ask you to write an essay. Don’t forget to sketch out your ideas before you start writing. In the essay, you should include an introduction, supportive ideas for your point or argument, add practical experience to clearly explain the ideas, and make conclusions based on the points you have made in the essay.

8.Memorizing a sample essay is not a good way. The examiner will find that your answer does not match the problem.

9.Remember to check your spelling. English according to US, Australian, or UK standards are all accepted in the IELTS test.

10.You have 40 minutes for part 2 of the written test. Take 5 minutes to brainstorm ideas and last 5 minutes to review writing and check to spelling.
